Eastern Shore Summer Regional Governor’s School to be held at Nandua


The Eastern Shore Summer Regional Governor’s School for the gifted will be a two-week daytime program, July 1-July 12, 2019. This summer’s program topic will be Aeronautics and Rocketry. Students will learn about the principles fo flight, both within our atmosphere and in space. They will also have the opportunity to learn about astronomy and develop deeper understanding of the solar system. Students will participate in a variety of field experiences, active investigations, and conduct research while learning about the different techniques and procedures used by engineers and scientists.   They will also have the opportunity to explore careers and career pathways in this field.   The program will be based at Nandua Middle School, from 9 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Students who have been identified as gifted in grades 5-87 are possible candidates for attendance.
