The Recorder – Gill-Montague Regional School Committee candidates announced

MONTAGUE — With about a month until the annual town elections in Gill and Montague, the candidates for the Gill-Montague Regional School Committee have been announced.

The open seats are currently uncontested, with each of the incumbents running for re-election.

The current School Committee Chair, Jane Oakes, of 154 French King Highway in Gill, is running for re-election for a three-year term.

Vice Chair Heather Katsoulis, of 89 High St. in Montague, is running for re-election for a three-year term. 

Treasurer Mike Langknecht, of 14 North St. in Montague, is running for re-election for a three-year term.

William Tomb, of 90 Boyle Road in Gill, is running for election for the first time for a one-year term. Tomb replaced Shawn Hubert, who resigned his position in July 2018. Tomb was appointed to fill the vacancy Sept. 25, until the end of Hubert’s term in May.

Thomasina Hall, of 36 Central St. in Montague, is running for election for a one-year term for the first time as well. Hall replaced April Reipold on Feb. 26 of this year when she resigned from her position Nov. 27. Hall was appointed to fill the vacancy until the end of Reipold’s term in May.

The Gill-Montague Regional School District holds district-wide elections representing both Montague and Gill. Registered voters from both towns should vote for School Committee candidates from both communities.
